On June 13th, the Camden Central School District Music Department held an Instrument Recruitment Night for students interested in playing an instrument. It was an exciting opportunity for children to explore various instruments and speak with music teachers about their interests. If any parents missed the event but are still interested in enrolling their child, they can contact a music teacher for more information about opportunities.

Come on out and join Connected Community Schools for their budgeting and board games event this evening! First Source will be there to talk about budgeting while kids get to play board games with Connected Community Schools. There will be raffles and 25 dollar gift cards given away while supplies last.

On Friday, McVille students and staff celebrated Flag day with a patriotic sing along, led by Mr. Rudka and the 4th grade Chorus!

The Class of 2024 is here and graduation has begun!

The stage is set. All thats left to do is wait a few hours and greet our graduates!

Graduation is upon us!
The Class of 2024 walks on Friday, June 14th at 6 PM at the CHS Stadium. In case you, or any friends/family/alumni in your life cannot attend and would like to see it, we wanted to take the opportunity to pass along live streaming information for you ahead of time so that you have it. It will also be posted again on Friday on Facebook and on our CamdenSchools.org website.
You can access the stream from your Web Browser at: https://moric.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=04943848-b30a-4b2c-9990-b18c00539a4a.
An archive of that stream for on-demand viewing will be posted as soon as is feasible to do so. The upload may take some time, but we will gladly alert you on Facebook and our website when it is processed and ready to go, and where you can find it. Stay tuned!
Also, as an added reminder for your own safety and protection, please do not click any links that appear in the comments that claim to point to a live stream, especially ones that ask for payment information. As a general rule, those are typically spam.
We're looking forward to the big day!

Don't forget... Coffee House 2024 is almost here! Join the CHS Drama Club on Wednesday for this awesome fundraiser event. Watch our students perform a wide range of theatrical and musical pieces of their choice in a relaxed atmosphere, and support our seniors in their final performances as students on the CHS stage!

On Thursday, June 6th, Camden Elementary fourth graders had the chance to showcase their talent with a Talent Show! There was singing, dancing, playing instruments, blowing bubbles, acting, special handshakes, and so much more! A special thank you to Student Council President Jonah Serway and Vice President Tatum Swancott for hosting the event!

Tonight's Board of Education meeting will be held in the CHS Library Media Center (Tuthill Learning Commons). It will begin at the regularly scheduled time, 7 PM.
Another note from Mrs. DerCola about this evening's Grade 7-8 concert at CMS:
"The construction in front of our building continues! Today they have put out fresh top soil and grass seed around our new concrete. Please do not walk through the dirt areas! Please let your guests and family not on Parentsquare know about this as well. Thank you for your cooperation during our construction."

Mrs Keller, Mrs Litter and Mrs Iverson’s First Grade classes recently spread a ton of kindness around CES! They worked cooperatively together to create and hang kindness posters around the building.
Lots of laughs and learning happened last week when Mrs. Lapier's class experimented with refraction glasses! Students were given a series of challenges to complete wearing the special glasses that bend light and flip everything upside down! Who knew refraction could be so fun?

Congratulations to CHS Senior Leonardo Diehl on earning the Gregory J. Wilsey Scholarship from the Believe 271 Foundation!

On Wednesday, June 5th, three Career and Technical Education students from the Camden Central School District were celebrated along with their internship mentors as Madison-Oneida BOCES presented its Career and Technical Education Signing Day Ceremony.
Signing Day is a special event that recognizes seniors who have received an immediate employment offer from the organization where they completed their senior internships. They present their mentors with a framed certificate and a small gift on behalf of Madison-Oneida BOCES.
The occasion also included some specially-wrapped commemorative candy bars. The label for those bars was designed by Camden senior Bailey Sharron, a student in the MOBOCES Graphic Design program.
Congratulations to the following students and their mentors on building a successful working relationship that will help our graduates hit the ground running in the workforce.
