Remember when? Five years ago, Camden High School put on its 2019 musical production, "Newsies."
Don't forget, this year's show, "Oliver!" will take place on March 1st and 2nd. It's just a few short weeks away!

Billy Miller, the main character of our "One District, One Book" selection for 2024, is a 2nd grader. So McConnellsville staff brought in some 2nd grade pictures of their own!

This week in Art IFA with Miss Lis, CES 4th graders learned about Graffiti art. Students brainstormed meaningful words, names and numbers that they then turned into Graffiti style stickers. Great job, 4th graders!

Students in Mrs. Malenowski's second grade IFA reading group recently finished learning about Louisiana! The group celebrated with a Mardi Gras parade where they
marched around the library to "When the Saints Come Marching In" while holding these "floats".






The Section III Division II Champion Camden varsity boys bowling team traveled to Vista Lanes on Tuesday to bowl in the year-end TVL Tournament. Camden rolled their way to a 2970 score, good enough for second place behind tournament winner New Hartford.
The Blue Devils were led by Ayden Gerow with games of 221, 234, and 203 and a 658 series. Also turning in strong performances were Gabe Lallier with a 246 game and 602 series, Garrett Grinnell with a 234 game and 596 series, Daniel Janes with a 200 game and 555 series, Braylon Lyke with a 543 series and Alex Lallier with a 200 game and 519 series. Rounding out the team were Conner Bruggeman and Ethan Puleo.
Through their performances, Ayden Gerow has earned first team Tri-Valley League All Star Status, while Gabe Lallier and Daniel Janes will be part of the second team.

On February 2nd and 3rd music students in grades 7-9 attended the first ever NYSSMA Zone 4 Junior Area All-State. A seat in this ensemble was based on their 2023 NYSSMA solo level and score as well as teacher recommendation.
9th Grade student Mikinzie Collins represented CHS Chorus.
Olivia Wing, Elizabeth Conover, Lily Phelps. Adalyn Whitby and Nevaeh Sharpe represented CHS and CMS Orchestras.
Max Scholz, Makenna Johnson and Kayleigh Harrington represented CMS band.
NYSSMA Zone 4 includes schools from Oneida, Herkimer and Oswego County, it is truly an honor to have the Camden Music Department represented so well at this state festival!


On January 19th and 20th, students from Camden Middle School joined their High School peers by participating in the Madison County All-County Festival held at Stockbridge Valley.
Representing 6th grade Chorus: Kylie Carey, Samuel Coleman, Katherine Dean, Madisyn Hathaway, Kyla Sommerville, Naiara Nottingham, Natalie Lynch and Taylor Mitchell. Representing 7/8 Band: Amelia Nobis, Bailey Burnup, Max Scholz, Addison Schulz, and Michael Guhin. Representing 7/8 Orchestra: Nevaeh Sharpe, Adalyn Whitby, Olivia Potter, Lilly Phelps and Drew Collins.
These students auditioned for these ensembles in October and worked with their teachers leading up to the festival and with guest conductors ending in a concert performance Saturday afternoon.


Congratulations to our Section III Class B Indoor Track and Field Championship Qualifiers! The team competes this evening at SRC Arena in Syracuse, with the meet starting at 4:30 PM.
