We were so honored to welcome children's author Daniel Jude Miller to McConnellsville earlier this week! Miller presented at both elementary schools in our district about authorship, illustration and design. He gave students some great starting points on how to explore authorship themselves, and showed them how with some household items, they can make a "monster" of their own as inspired by his "Monsters in Manhattan" series!
In preparation for the big day, students made monster pictures that were on display in the hallway. Daniel enjoyed them very much!

BOO! The stacks at the CMS Library Media Center have some very festive visitors around for the rest of the month!

Nordic Skiing is not just a way to compete, it's also a great way to establish a lifelong winter fitness routine in the outdoors, and there are plenty of options to hit the trails in our area!
Contact the athletic office with questions!

Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming Binghamton-based children's author Daniel Jude Miller to our elementary schools!
He read some of his stories, talked about the writing and drawing process, and even shared some unfished books he's working on. He inspired students to follow their dreams, work hard, and consider using their writing and artistic talents to create great stories!
We'll share pictures from his McConnellsville visit soon!
