We changed things up a bit by taking our all-staff meeting outdoors this year, with a brief overview of expectations accompanied by laughter, celebration, coffee, and conversation. Our staff will be working on final preparations throughout the day, and into Wednesday!

2. Haircut vouchers, good for a haircut at a participating salon or barber shop, can be obtained from Connected Community Schools. To receive one, contact our new Connected Community Schools site coordinator for Camden Middle School, Zoie Lehman, at 315-272-8968.

Touch a Truck is Thursday! Come on out, bring the kids, and have an enjoyable Thursday night with Connected Community Schools! Your child will learn about the functions of emergency and working vehicles from the pros that drive them, and in many cases, they can grab a seat inside! All ages are welcome!

On Tuesday, September 2nd, the Arizona Tacos Food Truck will be on site at CHS to serve delicious tacos, with a portion of sales benefitting the CHS Class of 2027!

The occasion offered an opportunity for students and families to meet with the new leadership team, enjoy a tasty summer treat (or two) with Connected Community Schools, play games, visit with friends, and choose a free book from our Title I ESSA Grant to inspire some late summer reading! We even saw some of our brand new CES families out and about!
McConnellsville folks - Don't forget that you have a similar opportunity to meet Mrs. Zangrilli at the Back to School Bash, coming up on Tuesday 8/26! The fun begins at 4:30 PM!
JV and Varsity practices start today - Monday, August 18th! When we stopped by, our Field Hockey and Boys' Soccer programs were hard at work preparing for the season ahead, and our other Fall programs are practicing throughout the day.

Also, For ALL Fall Sport Athletes/Families: Don't forget about the mandatory player, parent/guardian information meeting that will occur on Thursday, August 21st at 6:00 PM in the CHS Auditorium. This meeting will consist of information and expectations for the 2025 fall season, as well as a presentation from guest speaker Abrahm DiMarco. Program meetings will follow.

Incoming 5th grade families - you're invited to learn more about life in middle school with two events taking place next week!
Camden Middle School will be holding these events for incoming fifth grade students and their parents/guardians! There will be two open tour days on August 27th and 28th, along with a fifth grade parent night to take place on August 27th. This is a great opportunity to get to know the building and ask questions ahead of the first day of Middle School!
