CHS students enjoyed their morning session with motivational speaker Ed Gerety. Through his personal experiences, inspirational stories, and powerful lessons, Ed shared life skills that are essential for our students to develop as leaders in school and in life. These skills include respect, character, gratitude, leadership, attitude, empathy, and making a difference. It was also Thursday of Spirit Week, which means there was plenty of blue and white clothing throughout the auditorium!

Saturday (10/8) is parade day! The parade starts promptly at 1 pm. We hope to see as many people as possible out along our village streets as we celebrate our students, alumni, staff, and community!

We saw a lot of fun outfits, hats, and hairdos for Wacky Wednesday at McConnellsville Elementary!

Throughout the rest of the Fall Semester, the Camden Central School District will be spotlighting several new members of our staff.
Today, we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Nevin. Crystal is an ELA teacher at Camden High School. She is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam.
Her favorite thing about being an educator is her students, who make each day different and exciting.
“I have enjoyed meeting new people, and being welcomed into the Camden community,” Nevin said. “The support I have received from other staff members, especially in my department, has been incredible and insightful. I am very happy to be here!”
When she is not showing students the ins and outs of the English language, she enjoys reading, baking, and traveling.
Welcome to the team!

Throughout the rest of the Fall Semester, the Camden Central School District will be spotlighting several new members of our staff.
Today, we’d like to tell you about Stephanie Calabro! She is a mathematics teacher at Camden Middle School.
Stephanie is a graduate of Herkimer College and Utica University.
Her favorite thing about being an educator has been meeting her students, and encouraging them to be whatever they want to be.
The thing she has enjoyed most about the Camden experience so far is working with her team members and students.
“They are amazing and have made me feel like a part of the team quickly,” Calabro said. “I do not feel like I’m going to work. The students are awesome as well.”
When she’s not in the classroom, she enjoys being with her family and traveling to warm weather destinations.
Welcome to the team!

This week, it's all about Camden spirit! Come support your Blue Devils at any of our athletic events throughout the week!

Twenty eight students at Camden Elementary School were chosen as "Cougars With Character" award winners for the month of September! The awards were presented on Friday at a pair of school assemblies.
The focus for September was "Empathy", and each student learned a great deal about what it means to show empathy since the start of school!
Congratulations!
Stay tuned for more elementary-level Character Education content coming soon!

We have a Homecoming web page for your perusal. On that web page, you’ll have the opportunity to register for the parade, and the craft and vendor fair.
We also have additional details on the parade, craft and vendor fair, and building-level Spirit Week events. New information is being added periodically as each building finalizes its own spirit week plans. We will use this page as a landing point for this year’s events and future homecoming celebrations.

Last night's Camden Elementary School Open House was very well-attended! It was great to see so many of our families come in to meet their student's teachers and classmates, and take a more personal level of involvement in the learning process.
Thank you to our community partners who stopped in to provide information and other goodies as well. Led in their efforts by Miss Tayler Galusha, our Connected Community Schools team was able to partner with local salons to provide a free haircut to any student who wanted one.

Pictures from last night's Varsity/JV Field Hockey doubleheader against Holland Patent! The matches were held at Accelerate Sports in Whitesboro.
