We were so honored to welcome children's author Daniel Jude Miller to McConnellsville earlier this week! Miller presented at both elementary schools in our district about authorship, illustration and design. He gave students some great starting points on how to explore authorship themselves, and showed them how with some household items, they can make a "monster" of their own as inspired by his "Monsters in Manhattan" series!
In preparation for the big day, students made monster pictures that were on display in the hallway. Daniel enjoyed them very much!

BOO! The stacks at the CMS Library Media Center have some very festive visitors around for the rest of the month!

We are one week away from showtime! Camden High School Drama presents "The Wizard of Oz" for a three performance run next weekend!
Opening night will be Friday, November 3rd with a 7 PM performance.
On Saturday, November 4th, there will be two performances: A 2 PM matinee, and a final performance at 7:30 PM.
Come experience the theatrical arts in your hometown, support our incredible performing arts students, and do it all for an unbeatable price!
Don't miss it, because it will be over in the blink of an eye.... or three clicks of the heels!

Excited for Sunday's game? We are too! Come on out to Main Street on Sunday morning and give the Varsity Field Hockey team your support!

The Camden Nordic Ski team is looking for new student-athletes to ski with them this winter. There are opportunities on the Modified and Varsity squads depending on grade level. No experience is necessary, and low cost equipment rentals are available!
Nordic Skiing is not just a way to compete, it's also a great way to establish a lifelong winter fitness routine in the outdoors, and there are plenty of options to hit the trails in our area!
Contact the athletic office with questions!

Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming Binghamton-based children's author Daniel Jude Miller to our elementary schools!
He read some of his stories, talked about the writing and drawing process, and even shared some unfished books he's working on. He inspired students to follow their dreams, work hard, and consider using their writing and artistic talents to create great stories!
We'll share pictures from his McConnellsville visit soon!

Miss Scheftic’s class recently ended their CKLA unit about the Five Senses. These students put their senses to the test while dissecting a pumpkin and learning all about its life cycle! 🎃🎃
